In recent days, the President of the Republic of Armenia has signed presidential decrees regarding numerous withdrawals and reassignments of ambassadors to key countries and international organizations in Europe. According to the decrees of the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan, one of the most massive changes of assignment in recent Armenian history is underway.

As we learn directly from the website of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Arman Khachatryan has been recalled as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the Council of Europe, Armen Papikyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Austria and the Slovak Republic, has been relieved of his role as Head of the Mission of the Republic of Armenia to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, as well as from the positions of Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations Office in Vienna and other international organizations. Andranik Hovhannisyan has ceased from the positions of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Swiss Confederation and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations; Hasmik Tolmajyan recalled from the position of Ambassador to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco. At the same time, Armen Papikyan was appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the Council of Europe (residence: Strasbourg), Hasmik Tolmajyan was appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations (residence: Geneva), Arman Khachatryan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of France (residence: Paris) and Andranik Hovhannisyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Austria (residence: Vienna).

Another important multiple changeover took place on October 24th. The following recalls were made: Armen Sargsyan was recalled to the State of Qatar, Hrachya Poladian to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Vladimir Karapetyan to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, Tsovinar Hambardzumyan to the Italian Republic, the Republic of Malta and the Republic of San Marino, Armen Yedigaryan from the positions of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia.

With the same number of decrees, the President of the Republic has appointed: Ruben Soghoyan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Iraq (residence: Baghdad), Suren Baghdasaryan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in order of conjunction, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Lao People's Democratic Republic (residence: Hanoi), Tsovinar Hambardzumyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Bulgaria (residence: Sofia), Vladimir Karapetyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Italian Republic (residence: Rome).
