Memoria e Fede: Divina Liturgia in Rito Armeno a Bari per i Martiri del Genocidio Armeno

Il Consolato Onorario della Repubblica d’Armenia in Bari (circoscrizione Puglia) ringrazia tutti coloro che sabato 26 aprile 2025, alle ore 11.00, presso la Chiesa di San Gregorio Armeno in Bari Vecchia (accanto alla Basilica di San Nicola), hanno partecipato alla Liturgia in rito armeno in memoria dei Martiri del Genocidio Armeno.

La celebrazione avrebbe dovuto essere officiata dal Rev.ndo P. Bsag Tepirjian, archimandrita della Chiesa Apostolica Armena, che, dopo essere arrivato a Bari venerdì pomeriggio, è stato richiamato in Vaticano per prendere parte alle esequie di papa Francesco.

La liturgia è stata guidata nella Carità dal prof. Kegham Boloyan, originario di Aleppo e Diacono della Chiesa Apostolica Armena, rappresentando un momento di raccoglimento spirituale e di memoria condivisa, nel segno della giustizia storica e della dignità del popolo armeno sopravvissuto all'annientamento.

Durante il rito si è pregato per i Santi Martiri del Genocidio Armeno, per la resilienza del Popolo Armeno, per i governanti di tutte le nazioni affinché promuovano l'identità armena e per Papa Francesco, amico del Popolo Armeno, in contemporanea con le sue esequie a Roma.

Abbiamo ricordato circa un milione e mezzo di vittime del piano di sterminio sistematico attuato dal governo ottomano. Deportazioni forzate, marce della morte nel deserto siriano, massacri e ogni forma di violenza segnarono una delle pagine più buie del Novecento, ma anche una delle più gloriose della Cristianità.

Tra milioni di martiri, spicca la figura eroica di P. Francesco Divittorio, missionario francescano originario di Rutigliano (Bari), che offrì la propria vita proteggendo circa 20 orfani armeni, cadendo a Mugiuk-Deresì il 23 gennaio 1920.

Nonostante le negazioni ufficiali, il Genocidio Armeno è riconosciuto da molte città e istituzioni del nostro territorio, tra cui i Comuni di Taranto, Canosa, Conversano, Nardò, San Pietro Vernotico e San Vito dei Normanni.

Il Consolato Onorario della Repubblica d'Armenia in Bari (circoscrizione Puglia) che ha promosso l'iniziativa insieme alle associazioni italo-armene pugliesi, invita ogni anno a non dimenticare, a educare alla pace e a rendere onore alle vittime.

Memory and Faith: Armenian Rite Divine Liturgy in Bari for the Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Bari (Puglia district) thanks all those who, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Church of San Gregorio Armeno in Bari Vecchia (next to the Basilica of San Nicola), participated in the Divine Liturgy in the Armenian rite in memory of the Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.

The celebration was to be officiated by Rev. Fr. Bsag Tepirjian, archimandrite of the Armenian Apostolic Church, who, after arriving in Bari on Friday afternoon, was recalled to the Vatican to attend the funeral of Pope Francis.

The liturgy was led with Charity by Prof. Kegham Boloyan, originally from Aleppo and Deacon of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It represented a moment of spiritual reflection and shared remembrance, in the spirit of historical justice and dignity of the Armenian people who survived annihilation.

During the rite, prayers were offered for the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide, for the resilience of the Armenian People, for all national leaders to promote Armenian identity, and for Pope Francis, friend of the Armenian People, during his funeral in Rome.

We commemorated about one and a half million victims of the systematic extermination plan carried out by the Ottoman government. Forced deportations, death marches through the Syrian desert, massacres, and every form of violence marked one of the darkest but also one of the most glorious pages of Christianity.

Among millions of martyrs, we remembered the heroic figure of Fr. Francesco Divittorio, a Franciscan missionary from Rutigliano (Bari), who gave his life protecting around 20 Armenian orphans, dying in Mugiuk-Deresì on January 23, 1920.

Despite official denials, the Armenian Genocide is recognized by many cities and institutions in our territory, including the municipalities of Taranto, Canosa, Conversano, San Pietro Vernotico, and San Vito dei Normanni.

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Bari (Puglia district), which promoted the initiative together with Italo-Armenian associations in Puglia, invites everyone every year not to forget, to educate for peace, and to honor the victims.

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Պատվո Հյուպատոսությունը Բարի քաղաքում (Պուղլիայի շրջանի շրջանակում) իր շնորհակալությունն է հայտնում բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր 2025 թվականի ապրիլի 26-ին, ժամը 11:00-ին, Բարի Վեկկիայում Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ եկեղեցում (Սան Նիկոլայի տաճարի հարևանությամբ) մասնակցեցին հայոց ծիսակարգով Սուրբ Պատարագին՝ ի հիշատակ Հայոց Ցեղասպանության Նահատակների:

Պատարագը պետք է մատուցեր Հայաստանի Առաքելական Եկեղեցու վարդապետ Հոգեշնորհ Տեր Բսագ Տեփիրջյանը, ով ուրբաթ օրը Բարի ժամանելուց հետո հրավիրվեց Վատիկան՝ մասնակցելու Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսի հուղարկավորության արարողությանը:

Սուրբ Պատարագը սիրո և նվիրումով վարեց պրոֆեսոր Քեղամ Պոլոյանը՝ ծնունդով Հալեպից, Հայաստանի Առաքելական Եկեղեցու սարկավագը: Այս առիթը դարձավ հոգևոր խոկման և համընդհանուր հիշողության պահ, արդարության և արժանապատվության ոգով՝ ի փառք ցեղասպանությունից փրկված հայ ժողովրդի:

Պատարագի ընթացքում աղոթք բարձրացվեց Հայոց Ցեղասպանության Սուրբ Նահատակների, Հայ Ժողովրդի տոկունության, բոլոր ազգերի ղեկավարների՝ հայկական ինքնությունը պահպանելու ջանքերի համար, ինչպես նաև՝ Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսի հոգու խաղաղության համար, ով համարվում է Հայ Ժողովրդի բարեկամ:

Մենք հարգանքի տուրք մատուցեցինք մոտ մեկուկես միլիոն անմեղ զոհերին, ովքեր կործանվեցին Օսմանյան կառավարության կողմից իրականացված ծրագրով: Հատկանշական են բռնի տեղահանումները, մահվան երթերը Սիրիայի անապատում, կոտորածները և բոլոր տեսակի բռնությունները, որոնք կազմեցին 20-րդ դարի ամենամութ, բայց միևնույն ժամանակ Քրիստոնեության փառավոր էջերից մեկը:

Միլիոնավոր նահատակների մեջ առանձնանում է ֆրանցիսկյան վանական հայր Ֆրանչեսկո Դիվիտտորիոյի հերոսական կերպարը՝ ծնունդով Ռուտիլիանոյից (Բարի), ով իր կյանքը տվեց՝ պաշտպանելով մոտ քսան հայ որբերի և նահատակվեց Մուգյուք-Դերեսիում 1920 թ. հունվարի 23-ին:

Չնայած պաշտոնական ժխտումներին, Հայոց Ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչվել է մեր տարածաշրջանի բազմաթիվ քաղաքների և հաստատությունների կողմից, այդ թվում՝ Տարանտո, Կանոզա, Կոնվերսանո, Սան Պիետրո Վեռնոտիկո և Սան Վիտո դեյ Նորմանի կոմունաները:

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Պատվո Հյուպատոսությունը Բարի քաղաքում (Պուղլիայի շրջանի շրջանակում), որ նախաձեռնել էր այս միջոցառումը իտալա-հայկական միությունների հետ համատեղ, ամեն տարի կոչ է անում չմոռանալ, դաստիարակել խաղաղության ոգով և հարգել զոհերի հիշատակը:
